Tuscan Hideaway

Another trip to Nanoland, which now includes a Tuscan house. Complete with individually placed 1 mm square  floor tiles, panes in the windows and French door and a raftered roof.

The window frames, french doors and the surrounds are made from quarter-sawn cherry veneer which is sanded down to 0.3 mm, then hand sawn in strips. The roof tiles are carved of blood-wood veneer with the supporting rafters and floor joists cut from walnut.

The balcony is built with individual brass railing posts, drilled into the Formica base.

Ready to move in – but bring your own furniture, as the builder’s a bit busy with other activities now.

This house was built based on the design by Laura Miller.
