You knew that wasn’t the end of the story – of course I had to try and turn a smaller one:
At 1.6 mm (1/16″) long it’s a 1:144 scale pointer stick. Turned in ebony so that it would be visible at Abe’s feet on the penny. The sticks in the previous post are 19 cm and 26 cm respectively, and this one in real life would be 23 cm, right in the middle.
Next time someone wants to see my miniatures, I will have a suitable point to make.
