Flute of the lawn

This summer’s been rough on lawns, but we have a small green spot in the shade that still sprouts a multitude of grasses and weeds, like this mini bouquet:

The champagne flute was turned from a branch of the tree throwing the shadow on this photo. While the canopy serves as a grass saver, the wood was perfect for shaping a 0.8 mm (1/32 inch) thin protective wall around the flowers.

    1. Thanks, I used an LED lamp inside it to see where the wood was thicker and thinner, as the light was shining right through the wood.
