
Remember last week’s cherry bowl? The one that morphed into something new while I spent a few hours carving the feet? Before I knew it, or remembered to take a picture, the flat top had started to curve. Now, just a week later, this is what it looks like:

Despite a few tiny hairline cracks, the wood hasn’t split – the thinness is allowing the fibres to curve rather than break. The bowl, which stands on three little feet to stop it from wobbling, is firm but sort of crooked. That’s crooked, but not cracked. Goes to show it’s more than it’s cracked up to be 🙂
